FC Porto is optimistic about the revenue it can generate from its players' participation in the World Cup. Porto's pre-season starts on July 1, but many of the national champions are currently competing in the tournament. Players like Diogo Costa, Stephen Eustáquio, and Deniz Gul are among those who could bring additional income to the club. FC Porto will benefit from the FIFA Club Benefits Programme, which offers daily financial compensation for each player sent to national teams. The club is estimated to earn around 500,000 euros from these athletes. Although Seko Fofana has already bid farewell to Porto, his loan contract is still valid until June 30, allowing the club to receive compensation until that date. From July 4, if Ivory Coast advances in the competition, the compensation will go to Rennes. The same applies to Eustáquio, whose loan with Los Angeles FC also ends on June 30. Porto hopes that its players' participation in the World Cup will provide financial relief, even if modest, but always welcome.
