FC Porto became the national U15 champion this Sunday, thus completing a full set of trophies in Portugal this season. With this achievement, the club added to its titles in U17, U19, and senior categories, showcasing the strength of its youth teams. The title celebration took place while the team was playing against Alverca in the 17th round of the championship qualification phase. The defeat of Sporting against Belenenses (3-1) was crucial for the young Porto players to celebrate before the final whistle. Even if Sporting had won, the title would still go to Dragão due to Porto's victory by 2-1 in Ribatejo. This full set of titles had not occurred in nearly 30 years, since the 1997/1998 season, and marks the end of three consecutive championships for Benfica. The last time FC Porto was champion at this level was in the 2010/2011 season, and now it has its 15th title, just one behind Sporting, which has 16.
