FC Porto introduced its rich history to new members of the first-team squad during a visit to the club's museum last Thursday. The club-organised initiative aimed to immerse the recent signings in the blue-and-white identity the Dragons defend on the pitch.

"FC Porto organised a visit to the Museum to present the Club's history to the reinforcements of the main football squad, last Thursday," the club said. The welcome was led by historic figures such as Rui Barros, Helton, and Jackson Martínez, who greeted the players in the hall of the museum, which features 27 thematic areas.

The moment serves to integrate the athletes into a context of continuous success. Founded in 1893, FC Porto has honours including the European Cup, two Intercontinental Cups, and the UEFA Cup, among other European trophies. This legacy is now shared with newcomers like midfielder Oskar Pietuszewski, signed in the last winter transfer window.

The visit comes at a time of strong sporting form. The team leads the Primeira Liga with 21 points from seven games, thanks to seven consecutive wins. The latest triumph was a convincing 3-1 victory over Benfica at the Estádio do Dragão, a result that solidifies a five-point lead over their Lisbon rivals.

The next challenge will be a trip to face 11th-placed Marítimo on October 10th. Before that, the squad will continue working with the weight and inspiration of nearly 133 years of history on their shoulders. See the upcoming schedule on our fixtures page to follow the journey.
