FC Porto have loaned Brazilian centre-back Felipe Silva to Casa Pia for the remainder of the season. The Lisbon-based club confirmed the move via a social media post this week.
Porto currently sit top of the Primeira Liga table, with 12 points from four games and an unbeaten record. Sérgio Conceição's side holds a two-point lead over Sporting CP and prepares to face 18th-placed Casa Pia this coming Saturday, September 12th.
Felipe Silva is a 24-year-old Brazilian centre-back developed at Avaí. The player arrived in Portugal in 2023, when he was signed by Gil Vicente for a fee of 473 thousand euros. At the Barcelos club, the defender made nine appearances for the first team. In the summer of 2024, FC Porto invested 500 thousand euros to bring him in, signing a contract valid until 2029.
Despite the investment, Felipe Silva never made a first-team appearance for the Dragons. His only competitive experience at the club came with the B team, where in the 2025/26 season he played 32 matches, scoring one goal and providing one assist. His current status can be tracked on the squad list.
Casa Pia formalised the player's arrival with a post on social media. "Felipe Silva, a 24-year-old Brazilian central defender, was loaned by FC Porto to Casa Pia until the end of the season," the capital club wrote. This direct statement confirms the loan operation without a purchase option, allowing the defender to seek playing time at a top-flight club.
For Casa Pia, who are fighting to escape the relegation zone, signing a defender with experience in the Portuguese league represents an important reinforcement. Pedro Moreira's team has had a difficult start to the season and needs to solidify a defence that has already conceded several goals.
FC Porto's sporting context is one of great confidence. The blue and whites lead the Primeira Liga with a perfect record: four wins from four games, nine goals scored and none conceded. This solid defence is a cornerstone of the team's strong start, positioning them as a serious title contender. The league table is available in our standings.
The next challenge is precisely against Casa Pia, Felipe Silva's new club. This direct encounter between the league leader and the bottom-placed team gains an extra layer with the presence of the loaned player, who could face his former teammates. FC Porto travel to Lisbon aiming to maintain their lead at the top.
Felipe Silva's contract with FC Porto remains valid until the summer of 2029, keeping the player tied to the Porto club in the long term.
