FC Porto announced the return of Xeyrius Williams to the basketball team. The American player signed until 2027. The 29-year-old player wore the blue and white jersey in the 2024/25 season, having won a Taça de Portugal and a Supertaça. Xeyrius didn't hide his happiness in being back at the emblem of the undefeated city and left great praise for coach Fernando Sá, with whom he worked two years ago. "Fernando Sá [FC Porto coach] is a great reason for my return. He gives me a lot of confidence and I'm happy for his success. He's a very good coach, we all know that. He's a fantastic person and gets the best out of his players. I didn't think twice about returning and he's one of the reasons", he shared with the official media of the dragons. The American player represented the Dayton Flyers and Akron Zips at the university level and has passes through Hungary, Greece, Germany, Israel, Poland, and Hong Kong. "My goal is to add value in all the ways I can. We had some success in the season I was here [at FC Porto], but we weren't champions and that will always be the main objective", he concluded. The FC Porto basketball team starts the league on October 3 against Queluz and seeks to conquer the double championship.
