José Manuel Neves, president of the Associação de Futebol do Porto, believes the club will succeed in futsal, just as it did in women's football. "FC Porto enters a sport to take it very seriously. It happened in women's football and will happen in futsal," he stated. The leader of the country's largest district football association also mentioned there is no contestation from other clubs, as Porto used a mechanism provided by FPF legislation.
