FC Porto is opening a new football school in Turquel, strengthening its presence in the central region of the country and increasing the number of Dragon Force schools to 40 in the 2026/27 season. The new school is a result of a partnership between FC Porto and União Desportiva de Turquel, a historic club in the region recognized for its work in youth development. "The new school will be aimed at children and young people of different age groups, offering structured training programs, specialized technical support, and opportunities for growth within a recognized national formation philosophy", wrote the portistas on their website. "This partnership with FC Porto's Dragon Force is a source of immense pride for União Desportiva de Turquel and the entire community. It is a recognition of the work the club has done over the years in youth development and represents an extraordinary opportunity for our young athletes to access a methodology of excellence", said Fábio Carreira, president of União Desportiva de Turquel, in statements to FC Porto's media. "The opening of Dragon Force in Turquel represents another important step in the expansion of a project that aims to be closer to local communities. We found in União Desportiva de Turquel a partner with immense passion for formation, strong ties to the region, and a vision aligned with FC Porto's values. We are very excited about what we can build together", continued Ricardo Frey-Ramos, director of Dragon Force. It is worth noting that the official opening of Dragon Force Turquel will be marked by the realization of the Dragon Force super training, on July 4. Before that, the Turquel Football Field will receive, on June 13, the FC Porto Talent Hunt, an initiative promoted by FC Porto that allows young athletes to demonstrate their potential.
