FC Porto Takes the Stage at Dragão Arena with Victory Over ABC

FC Porto's andebol team recently secured a 39-27 victory against ABC during their fan presentation at the Dragão Arena. The match, part of the team's pre-season preparations, marked the fourth game and third victory for the squad, following wins against Dínamo Bucareste (30-21), CB Cangas (36-21), and Veszprém (26-30).

A Goal from Armando Coelho and a Save by Pedro Antunes

The victory was highlighted by a goal from Armando Coelho, a 14-year-old player, and a penalty save by goalkeeper Pedro Antunes, who turns 19 in September. Coelho's young age and Antunes' experience contributed to the team's performance.

Comments from Coach Carlos Martingo

Coach Carlos Martingo expressed satisfaction with the team's overall performance, despite noting areas for improvement. 'I am not fully satisfied, but I am satisfied. There is much to improve, but overall, we did many interesting things. It is evident that our defense needs to improve. This will have been our least successful game in terms of defense, but we are on the right path and, little by little, the players will be less heavy and their performance will certainly improve,' Martingo said.

Martingo also mentioned upcoming matches in Norway, where the team will play two high-level games. 'Now we are going to travel to Norway and play two excellent-level games. We will continue to give everyone minutes, knowing that the serious competition is about to arrive,' the coach concluded.

The team's presentation and performance at the Dragão Arena showcased their readiness for the upcoming season, with the coach emphasizing the need for continued improvement and adaptation.
